  • LESSON 3: The Best Exercises to Solve Your Vocal Problems

LESSON SUMMARY AND WHAT'S IN THE NEXT LESSON

Singing improvement comes from replacing bad habits with good habits. You can swap the word “habit” for “technique”,— replacing bad technique with good technique. We do this best by having a nice set of exercises we can do at home.

To avoid doing the wrong exercises you must first know a couple of things,— 1) what are your worst vocal problems (i.e. bad habits), and 2) what do the solutions to those problems look like.

From there you’re in a better position to know which exercises are best to build those wonderful new habits.

In this lesson we took a deep dive into the worst and most common problems that most singers face. We organized them on an innovated “Phrase-Based Learning Progression” to help you see where they happen in relationship to a singing phrase.

In the next lesson you’ll learn what solutions to these problems look like. You’ll learn what I consider the best place to begin your training.

In the final lesson we can then discuss the best exercises that will help you quickly bring your voice back to life.

There are two more very important handouts in the final lesson so be sure to complete the course!
